Mission Statement

The primary purpose of this website is to give the dairy goat industry in South Africa a professional face and address. Angel Dew Farms have taken the initiative to publish this website for the benefit of stud farmers and goat milk producers to be introduced to customers and to be a source of general information about the dairy goat industry in South Africa. When completed it will also serve as a general forum where roll players and interested parties can discuss issues, ask questions and share ideas and information.

We will strive to provide accurate information to members of the public and to customers as far as possible, share important facts about all aspects of the industry, answer questions from consumers and interested parties as promptly and accurately, keep this website up to date and current and assist members of the public to get reliable access to Dairy Goat products where ever possible.

Compared to the rest of the world, dairy goat products are relatively unknown in South Africa and the biggest challenge of the leaders in the industry is to educate the general public as to what the advantages of the goat products are. Huge markets lie dormant in the under developed countries such as Lesotho and Botswana. This website will hopefully provide a starting point to explore the possibilities of international trade and make some effort to establish South Africa as a world player in this industry.

We also believe that amongst other things, dairy goats may in future make a positive difference towards relieving mal-nutrition in undernourished sectors of the population, in a cost effective and practical way.

We also hope to build the industry to such an extent that local retailers will benefit from buying from local farmers opposed to importing Dairy Goat products from Europe.
