Cheese

Most cheeses can be made from goat’s milk. The European markets are huge and rumor has t that more goat’s cheese than cows cheese is available. Most of the goats cheeses in South Africa are imported from Europe.

What is very interesting is that the word "CHEVRE" generally associated with soft cheese, actually means ‘Goat’.

For some of the best cheeses in the world, we invite you to get in touch with some of the cheese makers in your area. You can find them in the where to buy section of this website. We also wish to point out that the BEST goats cheeses we have had the pleasure to taste were made right here in South Africa. No need to buy imported cheeses. You may very well find the best quality cheeses right on your doorstep at half the price of the imported products. Click to enlarge the picture
